How Uphold Login protects wallets

When a user registers, the client creates a secure keypair and performs a device attestation. The public key is stored with a minimal profile on our servers; the private key remains isolated. During sign-in, the platform challenges the device to prove possession of the private key and verifies device health. If the device passes policy gates, a signed session token is issued. For high-risk transactions, Uphold Login supports adaptive step-up authentication, requiring a hardware key tap or biometric verification.
